Help For Marilou Weeks Medical Exp
Donation protected
On Friday, March 30, 2018, Mrs. Marilou had a massive stroke outside her home. She stayed at Kennestone Hospital in the NICU (Neuro Intensive Care Unit) for 21 days. She was moved to Wellstar LTAC @ Windy Hill (Long Term Acute Care) on Friday, April 20th, 2018. She has a trach and is on a ventilator. She has a feeding tube as well. The effects of this stroke are very severe. She is paralyzed on her left side. She tries to mouth words to us, but can not talk. She still sleeps a good bit but daily is being worked with to try and continue to get stronger. She could be at the current location for up to 3 months or longer depending on progress. But from what we've seen over the past month, her life as friends and family have known it will be no more. She will need long term care from here on out.
You could say that Jim and Marilou Weeks have been life long residents of Pickens County. They've raised their daughter, Sharmon here and now she's raising her son, Ethan here as well. They have had several businesses throughout the years and are very well known in our little community.
If you feel led to donate to help them, any amount would be greatly appreciated. The road so far has been long and hard, but they know the journey ahead of them will be even harder.
Thank you.
