Help for Marine & Army Vet Matt Drakes family after flood
Donation protected
Hello everyone. On 9 August 2024, fellow Marine and also Army veteran Matt Drake, his wife Latisha, and their five sons (youngest age 5) lost their home and all their family's possessions due to a flash flood in Knoxville, Pennsylvania as a result of tropical storm Debby. Thankfully and most importantly, with only approximately 20 minutes of warning, they were all able to escape the flood waters and get to safety. Now comes the daunting task of finding a new home and stability for this family.
Here is some info about who this GoFundMe will benefit: I had the pleasure of serving with Matt Drake in the Marines and while being deployed to Iraq. After I finished my enlistment with the Marines, he ended up completing one more tour to Iraq while in the Marines and then transferred to the Army. Here he did another two tours but this time to Afghanistan. That is a total of four tours to combat areas for his country. The word sacrifice is an understatement. He's a proud man and I know he will not ask for help so I am personally trying to help him and his family by starting this GoFundMe. I am humbly asking for members of our community, my family and friends, and the strong veteran community to please assist me in helping them all get back on track as the money collected will be used for temporary/permanent housing, clothes, hygiene products, etc. He honorably served our country and I am hoping we can all help him now. On behalf of his family and I, thank you for any and all donations collected.
