Help for Mark Agresti & Family, medical expenses
Donation protected
Dear family and friends,
We are reaching out to you all about something we had no idea about just a few weeks ago, but sadly are acutely aware of right now.
For anyone who knows Mark Agresti the word stoic would be an understatement. It may come as a surprise to many of you that Mark has been dealing with chronic pneumonia and medical issues for years. He has been under the long term care of a pulmonologist and until recently, it has all been routine and he has managed his symptoms and recovered well.
This past spring his pneumonia reappeared as it typically does, and he was given antibiotics to treat his infection. As per usual he continued doing all that he normally does, regardless of how sick he felt at times. However, by late fall something was not so typical with the course of his pneumonia treatment, and his infection was not clearing.
Fast forward to January where after multiple tests, it was confirmed that Mark has Stage 4 lung cancer that has metastasized from his lungs to numerous parts of his body. On January 4th, Mark underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor, and since then he has been in and out of the hospital receiving radiation, follow up procedures, and managing the myriad of complications that cancer imparts. As of last night, Mark is being cared for in the ICU at Monmouth Medical where he is dealing with a blood clot complication.
Mark is not only a dedicated father to four beautiful daughters, devoted husband to Adrienne, and caring son to his mother Nona, but anyone who knows Mark has experienced his generous nature and his willingness to help others whenever in need. NOW IT IS OUR TURN to repay the favor by supporting him and his lovely family during this difficult time.
It is now that we can truly understand the expression “It takes a village.”
Let’s rally around the Agresti family in a time of dire need. Unfortunately, insurance doesn't come close to covering all the expenses related to fighting this terrible disease and the family is determined to find the best possible treatment for Mark, no matter the cost. Our goal is to remove some of the financial burden, and to help Mark stay focused on himself and the energy he needs to heal. The stress of medical bills, combined with the stress of trying to operate a family business is too much to handle. Donations will be used for basic necessities, overflow medical bills, out of pocket expenses, and anything else that can help Mark and his family during this difficult time.
On behalf of the Agresti family, they truly appreciate the outpouring of love, prayers and support our community has shown over the past few weeks and undoubtedly will show in the months to come. Again, we thank you all in advance for your kindness, and if you are unable to donate please keep the Agresti family in your thoughts and prayers.
