Help For Mason Crain
Donation protected
I never thought I would do a Go Fund Me, but I have a friend that I really want to help and this is all I can think to do at this time. I know they would never ask anyone for a dime, but I want to help them. I have been friends with this family for 9 years – I have known their son since he was 9. He is a great kid, he has never caused trouble, he works hard at his job and school and has been accepted to ASU in the fall.
Last August, Mason was driving two friends in his new car. They were coming from McDowell Mountain Park and he was in an accident for which he was charged and adjudicated. Mason and his front passenger were wearing seatbelts and walked away…. Sadly, his best friend in the back seat was ejected from the car and he passed away at the hospital. This is a tragic accident; I am sick for both families and all their friends. I can’t imagine what any of these parents are going through. Mason has to live with this for the rest his life. As you can imagine, he is devastated. He was, of course, tested for drugs and alcohol, standard for any accident like this and he was 100% clean. He is now facing huge restitution fees and cannot work for the next 5 months as he will be held in juvenile detention. He is planning to start ASU online in detention and continue on campus when he is released. This limits his time to raise the funds that must be paid by May 2021. If anyone can help them with any amount, it would be greatly appreciated. Even the smallest of donations add up.
I am at a loss for my friends – this is something I always say “But there for the Grace of God go I”. It could happen to any of us, or God forbid our kids…. Thank you for any help you can do – If you can’t help, please just share…
