Help for Mayank Panwar and Family!

Donation protected
(Hi, I am Manish Mohanpurkar trying to raise funds for one of my best friends - Mayank Panwar. Creating this post on behalf of Madhu Sehrawat (Mayank's wife) to help them with one of the most difficult times one can imagine. Personally, known Mayank for over 13 years and Madhu over 6 years, since their wedding. Mayank was from APJ Abdul Kalam University and Colorado State University and Madhu (BITS Pilani, 2007B3PS865P, 2011PHXP401P). They live in Longmont, Colorado.
FYI - All proceeds will directly go to Mayank's account to help with medical and related expenses.)

Here is the request from Madhu:

We are reaching out to request your support for Mayank Panwar, my husband, a 39-year-old scientist and father of 3-year-old Arya Panwar. His life was profoundly impacted by a sudden brain hemorrhage, marking the beginning of a demanding yet hopeful recovery journey. On March 18th, 2024, a devastating event disrupted Mayank's life. Abruptly, he experienced sharp head pains and loss of consciousness, which led us to dial 911 for swift action. Mayank was airlifted to the University of Colorado (UC) Health Neurosciences Center - Anschutz Medical Campus (Aurora, Colorado) intensive care unit. This was an utter shock for our family and Mayank's friends.

Medical assessments later revealed a brain bleed and a severe hemorrhagic stroke, resulting in heavy bleeding in the left thalamus region. The doctors concluded that it was an intracerebral hemorrhage, which means a blood vessel in the brain ruptured and led to bleeding. Mayank's critical condition demanded immediate placement of an external ventricular drain in his brain to mitigate the risk. Currently, Mayank is in a coma and battling severe health conditions. He may be required to undergo brain surgery. His journey to recovery is arduous and extended, requiring months to years of medical care, intensive rehabilitation, and steadfast support. Despite these challenges, Mayank's youth and robust health offer hope for a full recovery. Once out of the intensive care unit with access to appropriate physical therapy, occupational therapy, and comprehensive management, he is expected to gradually regain his skills.

Mayank was on his way to his permanent residency under the EB1 category (1-2 years away) but is presently on H1B. I am on H4 EAD but I am required to take care of our lovely daughter Arya, who is also in trauma due to these events. Mayank's parents have applied for an emergency medical visitor visa and are trying to get an appointment at the US embassy in Delhi, India. Being on visa in the US poses its own challenges and we are dealing with long commutes to hospital, extensive care requirement, and unpredictable future.

Mayank is known for his kind-hearted nature and vibrant personality. His magnetic personality and genuine care for others have made him a cherished figure everywhere he goes. His infectious optimism and warmth have forged deep connections with his family, friends, professors, and mentors. We stand united in supporting Mayank, a young man whose journey towards recovery will be lengthy yet promising.

Your contributions to this fundraiser will play a crucial role in alleviating the financial burden of Mayank's escalating medical expenses, including costly surgical procedures, ongoing treatments, extensive rehabilitation needs, and therapies essential for his recovery. Every donation, no matter the amount, will significantly impact Mayank's ability to access the critical care and therapies required for his gradual recovery. Your generosity will provide him with a fighting chance to reclaim his life and return to his passion for studies, service, and contributing positively to our community.

Please share this fundraiser widely and join us in uplifting Mayank in thoughts and prayers during this challenging and prolonged time.
Thank you for extending your compassion to Mayank and being a guiding light on his path toward a complete recovery. For more information about Mayank's health, please feel free to call his brother-in-law Yogesh Sehrawat or his friends Manish Mohanpurkar and Yash Agalgaokar.

We all appreciate
Sincerely,

Madhu Sehrawat, the Panwar Family, and Mayank's Friends.
