Help for Michael’s Family During this Tragic Loss

Dear friends, family and compassionate strangers
It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of my beloved brother, Michael, who has passed away. He was missing for almost 2 months and was found recently, but the worst possible outcome. He was only 33 years old. As we navigate through this unimaginable loss, we want to celebrate his life and keep his memory alive.
Michael (or some knew him as Mikey) was such a remarkable and amazing man. He had a passion for gardening and grew so many vibrant crops every year, which always came out so perfect and his garden flourished exceptionally. He would harvest raspberries and blackberries and make the best jelly possible, which he even won first place for numerous times at the fair. Michael had a special place in his heart for animals, often rescuing them and caring for him. His home was always filled with the love and compassion of his furry friends, specifically his cats.
Last October, he underwent a lot of medical issues and was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. He spent 51 days in the hospital and came close to losing his life twice there. But he fought so hard and was so strong. He showed incredible strength and managed to get better, despite having his colon removed. His journey had been tough, but Michael was a fighter and was determined to overcome all of this which had been truly inspiring.
Michael was such an old soul and enjoyed being around friends and family. Whether it was a picnic, campfire, or going out to eat to his favorite places. He found happiness in the little things. Every holiday he would decorate the house so beautifully and found joy in it. He created memories that we will hold on to and cherish forever. Michael always knew how to put a smile on your face and make you laugh. He was Christmas all year round! We will all certainly miss him deeply.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about my brother’s journey. Your contributions will help alleviate the financial strain to allow us to focus on healing and remembrance. My family and I are grateful for any support you can provide, whether it’s a donation or sharing this page. Michael has touched so many of our lives and we want to honor his spirit.
