Help for Miroslav Majernik medical expenses

Miroslav Majernik (Manville), age 20, unfortunately got into a very serious car accident on Saturday, August 5th at approximately 6:50am, leaving him in critical condition with several injuries. The cause of the accident is still being investigated, however, it is known that the car rolled into a tree and split into two parts resulting in Miro being ejected from the car. The front of the car landed 30 ft in front of Miro’s body and the engine travelled an additional 40 ft. Miro had to be airlifted to Morristown Medical Center where he is currently undergoing his treatment.

Miro is experiencing various orthopedic injuries such as having a shattered tibia and fibula (various broken bones in his leg), a torn meniscus (knee), fractured vertebrae/lumbar (spine), broken collar bone, broken nose, and multiple fractures on his face. In addition to these injuries, Miro suffers with punctured and collapsed lungs as well as an axonal injury in his brain (brain cell damage). The extent of Miro’s brain injury is still being monitored and understood.

Miro’s second chance at life is truly a miracle. The staff at Morristown Medical Center is impeccable and very empathetic. The staff is pleased and shocked to see how Miro is recovering. Once Miro is no longer in a critical state, he will very likely need to attend rehab, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and possibly speech therapy. Miro is a very independent individual who is incredibly strong. We as his friends and family are so thankful for this miracle we are witnessing.
