Help for Ms. Dawn & Family

Our own Ms. Dawn (our amazing Investigation Station teacher) left school today to find her family's home had burned. Thankfully no one was home at the time and they are hopeful their cat Cinco also made it out though they have yet to find her. The fire was a devastating loss and only compounded by it being right before Christmas. 

Ms. Dawn has been teaching at St. Philip's Preschool for 9 years and she and her husband Scott have been long term members of St. Philip's Church as well. 

We know many will want to show Ms. Dawn, Scott and their boys our love in tangible ways. The Red Cross let us know that the best way to help at this time is through monetary donations. Things are so fresh right now that they don't even know exactly what they will need immediately or in the months to come. 

The Sommers will be staying with friends until they can get a better idea of what the next steps are.
