San Diego Veterans home destroyed in Hurricane
Donation protected
I sit on the San Diego County Disability Committee with Karolyn Smith. Her home was severely damaged during the Hurricane Hilary! Since the ceiling collapsed her home is saturated with asbestos, she got out with very little.
Please help Karolyn Smith, a friend and Iraq War veteran, who has faced unimaginable losses in the wake of Hurricane Hilary. Her home, which she treasured, was inundated with water, causing extensive damage.
The storm not only took away her cherished possessions, including irreplaceable mementos of friends lost in the war, but it also revealed a complete saturation of asbestos in her entire home, making it uninhabitable.

Karolyn served our nation, surviving roadside bombs, sniper attacks and car bombs in Iraq. Now, in her time of need, please help me stand by her. Though she has insurance, a significant portion of her losses won't be covered.
Let's come together as a community to rebuild her life, just as she dedicated herself to defending our city and this country. Every dollar counts in helping her restore her home and piece together the memories she's lost.
Please donate to her GoFundMe campaign today and share her story. Let's show Karolyn that her sacrifices have not been forgotten and that we are here to support her on this difficult journey. Thank you for your generosity and compassion.
