Help for my Mom, Cassie

Hi, my name is Keli and I am raising money to help my Mom, Cassie, after she had an accident last week resulting in extensive injuries. 6 months ago, my mom and step-dad moved to a lake house on Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. They were so looking forward to enjoying their years leading to retirement by being near the water and taking life a little slowerin a small town. While home alone last Thursday my Mom fell from a retaining wall and broke her sternum in 3 places, 2 vertebraes, a rib and a toe. Almost a week later she is still awaiting surgery and then will likely need some inpatient rehab before being released for home. Once that is over, the goal is to bring her back to Colorado to start the long, hard road to recovery. They live on the lake and the medical resources are not close to them and also my step-dad will need to continue working to keep their health insurance in place. Recovering in Colorado is the only way that she will have a caregiver home with her to assist her with that recovery. I am raising the funds to help them with the financial burden they are going to incur from these injuries and her transportation to Colorado. The financial worry is one that they shouldn't have to focus on and with that being eased just a bit, I am hoping that my Mom can focus 100% on recovering and staying positive during that process.
