Help for my open heart surgery recovery.
Donation protected
So, this just happened last night, Thursday the 20th. I had a heart attack. The damage was pretty mild. However, after imaging was done on my heart, a large amount of severe blockages were found in my arteries. Options were weighed by the cardiac team, and it was determined that bypass surgery was the best option, also known as open-heart surgery. It will take place this Monday the 24th.
I was hoping that my cardiovascular issues would hold out until my insurance went into effect on June 1st, but life is what happens while we're making plans. Lorali rushed me to St. Pete General ER. They then transferred me to Northside Hospital ER. Obviously, 2 ER visits, an ambulance ride, all the tests, open-heart surgery, and a 9-day stay in the hospital will be pretty expensive. That's not my concern though. Missing out on 9 or more weeks of work is. As well, I will need Lorali with me around the clock for at least the first 7 or 8 days as I won't be able to do anything for myself. Unfortunately, life won't take the time off with us. All the bills will still keep coming in.
I'm asking help not to pay the medical bills, but to help cover the income we will lose. There will also be follow-up appointments and meds that will need to be paid before services are rendered. The follow-up appointments and meds will be CRITICAL to my recovery. The amount asked for will cover our lost income, post-op imaging, and cardiologist appointments. Any amount will help. I truly believe that with the help of friends and family, we will get through this. I completely understand that times are tough and a lot of people can't even afford to buy eggs right now, let alone donate. I do ask though that if you're not able to help financially, that you share this wherever you're able. Thanks so much to all of you!!
