Support to find a safe home for my family in Nigeria
Spende geschützt
Hello friends,
Today I'm reaching out to you with a very personal matter. My brother and I traveled to Nigeria this January to visit our sister and our nephews. Until that point, we had no idea about the actual conditions they were living in or how seriously ill our nephew really was.
During our stay, we spent a lot of time with him in hospitals and consulted several doctors. The medical expenses were significant and have placed a heavy financial burden on both me and my brother. It's been incredibly tough to manage all of this on our own.
What matters most to us is that our nephew gets the treatment he needs to feel better soon and that our sister can finally move into a safe and livable home with her children. Right now, she lives in a tiny one-room apartment without a kitchen or bathroom (the toilet is outside the building). Six people are living in this cramped and run-down space.
Our goal is to help her move into a better apartment by the end of this month-somewhere clean and secure where she can better care for her children.
We would be beyond grateful for any financial support you can offer. Every little bit helps and means the world to us.
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
With love,
Marla
P.S. I didn’t want to post any close-up photos of my nephew online, so I chose this picture of the two of us instead—taken when he asked me to hold his hand in the hospital.
