Help for my sister – Hope against bile duct cancer.

My dear sister (42 years old) has been diagnosed with bile duct cancer (cholangiocarcinoma) – a rare and serious disease. Despite this news, she is currently remarkably stable: she is physically active, spends time with her children (ages 3 and 12), and remains mentally strong. However, we know that it will be a tough journey.

She lives with her family in Denmark – too far away from her closest family and support network. To support her as best as possible during this challenging time, we want to bring her, her husband, and their two children to Germany. Here, we can provide better emotional, organizational, and medical support.

However, this step comes with many financial burdens – including moving costs, temporary accommodation, childcare, and accompanying medical measures.

At the same time, we place great hope in an innovative, promising treatment called histotripsy, currently offered in Abu Dhabi, among other places. Initial studies show impressive results, especially in patients with good overall health – as is the case with our sister. But this therapy is very expensive and is not covered by any health insurance.
