December 6, 2022… after a very long week of the unknown Nancy was accepted by one of the top Brain Surgeons in the US, he specializes in glioblastoma brain cancer at Emory Hospital in Atlanta. He determined that surgery was not an option. Now we know there is a fight! We asking you to join the #fightwithNancy. On November 22, 2022 ….Nancy started not feeling well and thought the headaches were just a symptom of a possible cold but, on Thanksgiving she noticed some numbness and tingling on her left side. By the next day she began to have difficulty walking due to imbalance. The numbness continued and headaches continued to worsen and were becoming more extreme. She and Damian went to the Emergency room, where a 3.3 x 2.8 cm mass was found in her brain. A CT Scan of her body revealed no furthers lesions elsewhere in her brain or body. She was admitted to the hospital immediately and began steroids hoping to alleviate symptoms, however symptoms unfortunately progressed. She has significant left sided weakness, imbalance and extreme headaches.

We have created this page in the hopes of making Nancy’s recovery a little easier by helping to alleviate the daily stressors of the financial impact that comes along with facing the unknown.

If you haven’t had the privilege to know Nancy, you should know that she is the definition of love and joy. She cares for others on a level that is impossible to describe, she is a true Nurturer. She adores Jesus and is passionate about his Word and walking in the Spirit. She loves to point others to finding more and more of Jesus and helping them experience his power in their lives. To know her is to know what the fruit of the Spirit in action looks like. She has a deep and steady faith and humility. She delights in seeing her kids thrive and grow. She is a prayer warrior and passionate about the power of the tongue being a source of life and death and is determined that her words are ones that bring life. It is impossible to record the life she has indeed brought to others through her words of truth aptly spoken.

Nancy and her beautiful family have made such an impact on so many and now in her hour of need many have reached out wanting to help. This site lets you know the best way to help at this time and will be updated. Although they love to hear from you and are seeing your messages, they are overwhelmed and aren’t able to respond the way they would like. Your words and support have blessed and touched Nancy and her family and she is so very grateful.

***Please note Damian and Nancy just started a painting and handyman business as a tent building ministry (as they had been preparing to plant a new church). As this work requires Damian to be physically present in order to work, they will need financial support during this time so that he can be with Nancy and the kids. Roswell Assembly of God will be setting up a fund for giving. We will add that link as soon as it becomes available.

It was a long night of recovery and the strong meds really knocked Nancy out. The neurologist was just in and the MRI and CT scan look good, there were no complications from brain biopsy- Praise God. She has been on EEG over night and there is no sign of seizure activity so she'll be coming off that this morning. She is more awake today but is just drained and exhausted. As of right now, she has feeling in her left side but, cant move it. Thank you for your continued prayers. We know God is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine and God says If two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by our father in heaven. So lets all join and ask for complete healing in Jesus Name.

 

For those of you asking for other prayer specifics:

-Her cognitive tests are okay post surgery but need more improvement (should see this as she wakes more and more.)
-Pray for Damian and the kids as they process and pray.
-Pray that the Lord would eradicate the pain she had been having.
-Pray that the right timing to move her to Emery University Hospital where they are nationally ranked in this speciality- this is the tenative plan right now.
-Pray biospy results come quickly and bring clarity for treament plan.
-Pray for continued provisions
