Help for our dear friend Denise Ramsey
Donation protected
My name is Kathleen Stanley and I am a life long friend of Denise Ramsey, with the permission of her family we created a go-fund me page to help Denise through this very difficult time.
Dear Friends. On January 8th, our beloved friend Denise Ramsey was in a terrible accident. What started off as an early morning jog ended very quickly when Denise was hit by a pickup truck. Denise was rushed to the hospital and into surgery. I can’t begin to describe the fear that came over her family and friends at the thoughts of losing a wonderful mother, sister, daughter and friend. Denise’s injuries are extensive. She suffered a broken leg in several places, a head injury, and bruising on her body. The prognosis is good, but Denise will need long term care, and physical therapy, she has a very long road to recovery. Denise will not be able to return to work in the foreseeable future. Denise’s daughter Kelly and her husband Rob have taken Denise into their home to provide her with the long-term care that Denise will need. Kelly and her husband Rob are parents of 5 children from the ages of 5-16.
In an instant all of their lives have changed. First and foremost, we are all glad that Denise is alive and will be ok. Denise is a talented Hairstylist whose income was reduced drastically due to the pandemic and although she continued to work, like so many other people she suffered financial losses. Denise’s children Kelly and Grant will take good care of their mother, but the financial burden will be difficult. I have known Denise for most of my life and Denise has always helped others, maybe it was a haircut that you desperately needed but didn’t have the money and Denise helped you out or maybe a late-night call when you were down in the dumps…as long as I have known Denise, she has been giving to people even when she didn’t have enough to give. Many of you have asked the family how you could help. There are two ways that you can help. First, would you consider a financial gift to help cover Denise’s expenses so that her children do not have to carry this burden by themselves. This money will help Denise continue to pay her bills so that she doesn’t lose everything that she has worked so hard for. The money donated will also help Kelly and Rob pay for extra food, transportation to doctors’ appointments and medical co-pays. Let’s not forget that Kelly and Rob will taking in Redman, Denise’s beloved Dog. This is a lot for Kelly and Rob but the one thing I know about Kelly is that she is just like her mom, one tough cookie !
Lets help make this difficult time a little easier for our dear friend Denise and her family.
If you prefer to make a donation through another avenue, please reach out to me and I will be glad to help you.
