Help for our warrior princess

Hi, my name is karolyn and on the 18th of September 2021 our world was turned upside down and inside out. My daughter gave birth at my home which was not her planned method of birth. At 8.30 am I arrived at her home following a call from her asking me to come and ring the maternity hospital for her, wen I arrived I timed her contractions and they were coming every 4 minutes, as I rang and explained to the nurse who took my call that her previous labour she didn't feel the contractions and this was a concern because we were still at home when her labour started. 18th September was her due date and the nurse told me to give her paracetamol and that it's rare for babies to be born on their due date so I got her into the car and brought her down to my home to keep an eye on her. At 11.30am she went to the toilet and her waters broke. I rang hospital again and was told to ring for an ambulance. Everything was progressing very quickly and the 999 responder talked me thru a few things as we waited for the paramedics to arrive and when they did things just took a traumatic turn. my granddaughter was not breathing and it took sometime to get her to the hospital where my daughter was told to prepare for the worst because they didn't think she was going to survive. She was taken I to the nicu unit of the Royal jubilee maternity hospital where doctors and nurses fought hard to save her life. Once she was stable and they started to do brains scans it was then that we were told she had brain damage. Our little warrior kept fighting for her place on this earth and she is still fighting hard today. She has been diagnosed with neonatal hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy. Which is a type of brain dysfunction that occurs when the brain doesn't get enough oxygen and blood flow for a period of time. She also has cerebral palsy, dystonia, epilepsy and other complex needs. For the 1st 6 months of ariahs life she has spent it in hospital. Myself my daughter my son in law and his mother have had to learn how to suction out secretions as Ariah has no swallow we have had to learn administer her medication and basically we have had a crash course on nursing, wot takes people years to study we have only had 6 short months.
Ariah will need special equipment to help in her development and this type of equipment is extremely expensive but it is needed to help and support Ariah. Other support items to help Ariah are sensory items etc.
Ariah is growing and getting bigger and she needs these support items as soon as possible which is why I am appealing for support and help to raise these funds.
Myself and my family would like to thank you for taking the time to read this and for any donations that any1 makes. It is greatly appreciated. And we will of course keep u all updated on ariahs progress.
