Help for Parker Willand & Family

'Family Day' will never be the same for the Willand Family. On Monday February 19, 2018, my brother Joe and my nephews Jacob 4 yrs old and Parker 2 yrs old, were involved in a serious snow mobile accident. Joe and Jacob were very lucky to not have suffered any physical injuries. Parker was not so lucky. He was rushed by ambulance to Huntsville hospital, stabilized and then transported to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto.
Parker is in the critical care unit. His injuries are severe. He has suffered major head trauma. He has a fractured skull, multiple fractures on the orbital wall, swelling and bleeding on the brain and fluid on his lung. This precious 2 year old boy is fighting for his life. He has an extremely difficult and long road to recovery ahead of him and his hospital stay will be extensive.
My brother and his fiance have been by Parker's side every minute. They are so overwhelmed with worry, stress, fear and an abundance of tears. These 2 people are the most devoted, loving and selfless parents I know. Amanda is an incredibly loving and dedicated stay at home Mommy who gives her boys 110% of herself every single day. Joe is the most involved, loving, hard working Daddy a family could ever want. They are both so humble and selfless and extremely focused on their adorable sons. This tragic accident has been utterly devastating.
Amanda and Joe are so grateful for the outpouring of love, support and prayers that they have received. But, they also need financial help. They are far, far too proud to ask for any. Reality is, they will not be able to manage the financial burden that will hit them faster than they know. This is why I am starting this Go Fund Me page for them.
They live in Dorset, Ontario. Being at Sick Kids hospital finds them about 3 and half hours away from home. Joe will be off work for an unforeseen amount of time. It will be close to impossible for him to keep up with the everyday costs of maintaining their household. Further financial pains they will be faced with include daily hospital parking fees, at least 2 meals each a day, accommodations, etc.
Please find it in your hearts to donate whatever small amount you can to help my brother and his family get through this brutally difficult time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Sincerely,
Ramona
