Help for Payslee
Donation protected
This is our daughter Payslee. Payslee was born at 28 weeks weighing 1 pound 11 ounces. Payslee spent 3 months in the NICU, and due to her prematurity, she has Cerebral Palsy (CP). Payslee is nonverbal, uses a feeding tube, and is a quadriplegic. Payslee is unable to hold her head up on her own. Payslee is very smart and gets very frustrated because she is a normal 2 year old stuck in a body that can not do what she wants it to do.
Payslee works very hard everyday. In a single week she goes to Speech, Physical, and Occupational Therapies. On top of those appointments, she also sees Neurology, Gastrointestinal, Orthopedic, Pediatric, and Pulmonology Doctors. Even though Payslee spends much time at the hospital, she remains a very happy girl.
Recently we have found a cutting edge therapy to help Payslee and hopefully give her a better quality of life. Like most new medical procedures, this therapy is very expensive and is not currently covered by insurance. Stem Cell Therapy is used for stroke and cancer patients with lots of success, and now they have been using it on a select group of CP patients. The CP patients that have received this therapy have had wonderful results. That is why we are trying to raise $12,000 for Payslee to receive this treatment. We are very lucky that we have already received $5,000 towards the $17,000 treatment from a family that has already had their child receive the treatment. I will provide links about the therapy and also a success story.
We are very thankful to have Payslee in our life and we are just trying to help her gain the best quality of life possible.
