Help for PREETI and her family from Nepal

NAMASTE
I am raising funds for my friend PREETI (16), her mother, brother (5) and sister (6) living in Pokhara, Nepal.
She is a lovely, bright and very mature girl. She is the oldest of three kids raised by a single mother who is doing all she can to provide for her children, but is struggling to pay for basic needs.
Last year, Preeti lost her dad leaving behind not only a devastated family, but also a debt of 7'430€ (1’000’000 rupees)
Prior to his passing, her father had opened a small shop near their home. When the pandemic forced everyone into lockdown in 2020 and with no tourism over the past 18 months, they were left unable to pay rent, food and medical bills. Shortly after being forced to close their shop and loosing all their investment, her father committed suicide.
Even though she is being so brave and positive, a great student working hard every day, Preeti needs help now more than ever.
When my family and I first visited Preeti in Pokhara we were heartbroken by her story. Her family lives in 1 small room, sharing a bed among the four of them, with no access to clean water, food or even a spare pair of clothes.
During my stay in Nepal, I spent a lot of time with Preeti, learning more about her family background and dreams of one day becoming a nurse to help take care of her family by paying off their debt.
When asking if there was anything she would need she simply responded with a kind smile on her face: “We have every thing we need to live”. Her humble words touched me very much and I had a hard time wondering how strong and positive this young girl was with so little in her life.
Noticing that her little brother and sister did not even own a single toy or book we took them to town and got each one a stuffed teddy and new pair of clothes.
After our final goodbye during our last day in Nepal, tears started rolling down her mother’s face. Even though she was not able to express her gratitude in English, she managed to thank us from the bottom of her heart.
There is nothing more wonderful and emotional to see kids smile when they get food and gifts even though it may only be for a short time.
Any small donation will help Preeti and her family hugely.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me - I am beyond grateful for your kindness and support.
