Help for Randy Beals

Hello to the friends and family of Cindy and Randy Beals! I am a friend and neighbor of them, Kelley Eltzroth, here in Clare Michigan. I am starting this GoFundMe because Randy and Cindy have had a tough few months of bad news on bad news and they need some love and tangible and financial support from their loved ones.

Randy lost his job last year after decades at the Soaring Eagle. As he searched for more work, it was clear his health was worsening. He deals with chronic pain and severe breathing issues. He is currently in the process of trying to get on disability. Cindy began a new job a few months ago that fits her so well, as a caregiver, but she is unable to cover him for health insurance. She has also had to take quite a bit of time off to help Randy with some important doctor appointments and tests, without paid leave.

Mid-March, Randy was diagnosed with small cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia, stage 3. It's treatable but not curable. While in the hospital getting a port put in for his chemotherapy, he had a medical emergency and discovered he also has a blood clot in his right lung. We are proud of Randy for having an attitude to get treatment to slow the progress of his cancer. When I saw him the other day, he was in good spirits.

All of this, however, has put a strain on their finances. If you know the Beals, you know they don't live an extravagant life! Neither do they feel comfortable asking for help - but at this point they really need it to make sure they can catch up and keep up on their mortgage, utilities, and other bills. We can help them keep a roof over their heads and the lights on if we can all contribute a little bit. Right now they have found relief for medical bills, and Randy will get some assistance from the Pardee Cancer Treatment fund that can only go directly towards costs for his treatment, so this Gofundme is for their monthly financial needs.
