Financial support & love for Sam & Carol Thomason

The week before Thanksgiving 2022, Sam had some tests that came back questionable. Unfortunately, MRI results confirmed the original diagnosis of liver cancer. Sam is not a surgical candidate due to his advanced liver disease and low platelet count. He needs a transplant. They plan to inject chemo directly into the tumor to buy some time to secure a liver transplant. Over the next six weeks, he will be back and forth to MUSC for scans and tests to ascertain that the cancer has not spread to or migrated from any other part of the body. He meets back with the transplant doctor in March after all the scans and tests are in.

If you know Sam & Carol then you know how active they are in the community and are always the first to jump in to help anyone in need. Now is our time to return the favor and come together to help ease some of the financial burden they will be facing as these costly visits and procedures add up.
