Help For Sarah Bradley On Her Cancer Journey
Donation protected
Sarah was diagnosed with colorectal cancer on March 9th of this year. At her young age, this came as a shock to both doctors and herself.
Due to the unique nature of her case, she was immediately connected with The Dana Farber Cancer Center in Boston to start treatment. She has cancer and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a rare connective tissue disorder that complicates healing (and everything else).
So far, she has undergone one surgery to remove the primary tumor. Unfortunately, when operating, the surgeon discovered that her cancer was more advanced than they'd hoped. Now she is looking at a second, much larger & more complicated surgery called a Lower Anterior Resection. A large part of her colon and the surrounding lymph nodes will be removed, and she will be given a temporary ileostomy while she heals. Later there will then be a third major surgery to reverse the ileostomy. Even without complications, this will require months of recovery time, multiple hospital stays, hotel rooms out of state, missed work, lots of gas money, and expenses for medical supplies. Unfortunately, Sarah also lacks a reliable vehicle, so money for a safer car or repairs to her existing car is also necessary.
Any help would be greatly appreciated at this time. The stress of a cancer diagnosis is difficult enough without also incurring massive debt during the process.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, share the link, and donate. Together, we will help Sarah feel cared for and hopefully worry a lot less. Financial burdens are the last thing someone needs when battling such diagnoses.
