Help for Sawtooth Outfitters Whistlin' Pine Ranch
Donation protected
Since 1944 Whistlin' Pine Ranch and Sawtooth Outfitters has been owned by the Varrelman's. This family owned business has been a staple in the Alta Lake community for over 76 years. Folks come from all over the state, and beyond, to camp, ride horses, and book pack trips. Personally, I have been visiting Whistlin' Pine Ranch for over 20 years and many families have been coming longer than that. Brian Varrelman is not only a community member and small business owner, but a friend.
With devastating fires in the last few years, the business at Whistlin' Pine Ranch was severely hampered. When the homes, state park, and much of the golf course burned, Brian's summer business was hit hard. His hope was to have a full campground and prosperous summer this year.
Unfortunately, COVID-19 has dashed those hopes. Brian is unable to open the campground, and has had to lay off all of his employees. He is currently doing the job that normally takes 5 people to do, holding down all aspects of the business as best he can but it's not enough. He is very concerned that this might be the last straw for his business after making the best of things for several years now.
Those of you that know Brian, know he is not one to ask for help. I asked him if I could reach out on his behalf. I know that 1 in 5 small businesses will fail with the COVID-19 crisis. The need is urgent! My hope is that if we cannot support Brian with our business as usual, we can support him by donating this year, so that Whistlin' Pine Ranch and Sawtooth Outfitters will be there for all of us to create more family times and fond memories for years to come. I know many people are struggling right now, but if you have the ability, please help keep this family owned business from being statistic.
On behalf of my family, and so many others, thank you for your support of our friend Brian.
