Help for Steve Gitary's Family

My name is Deborah Nickles and Julie is one of my dearest friends.

With the unexpected loss of Steve's income, medical bills and day to day expenses may soon become challenging. Any help you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. Whoever has known the Gitary’s and called them your friends has known so much laughter, strength, and loyalty in a friendship that is rare. Steven was the very best of men. There is nothing that he would not do for you and help you learn along the way, to do for yourself. He has been known as coach, mentor, friend, son, brother, father, Papa, and dearest husband. Uniquely genuine, a man who loves his family unconditionally, who is hardworking, knows the difference between right and wrong, a true gentleman. He is gone and an enormous gaping hole has been left in this wonderful family. If you are like most of us, we are sad for them but feel helpless when our loved one faces a loss of this magnitude. I started this page at the request of the family and for them, I am asking you, to step into the gap.

 

On December 7th Steve was admitted to Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak with Covid. He battled hard, always a strong fighter but in the end, his body was not able to overcome the effects of the virus. It is with complete devastation that we lost him in the early hours of Christmas morning, December 25, 2021.

We also ask for your prayers for these precious people that they will find comfort in the memories of the great love they have for Steven and that they may face each new day, with hope and peace and, that their days be enriched with friendship and that their lives be encircled with love.
