Anyone who knows my brother knows that he loves the Lord wholeheartedly and loves leading others to do the same through worship. He is a fun loving guy who loves to joke and laugh. Christine, his wife is a prayer warrior and home schools both of my nephews. Everyone can imagine only having one income can be a challenge, especially during the holidays and with the increased inflation. Right now they are currently facing even more challenges in this area since Rob was in a dirt bike accident on 11/26/22. Rob took Levi to a new track, since this is something they enjoy together. While riding, Rob hit a jump wrong and the bike came out from under him. The impact of the fall, broke his right ankle in 4 places, fractured his tailbone, and broke his left femur, which required surgery to repair with a metal plate and multiple pins and screws. He was hospitalized for 10 days, and he had to come home by medical transport. Being at home is much nicer, bringing the family together since the boys were not allowed to visit their dad. Although being home has brought on more challenges. They were in need of a ramp to get him in and out of the house, a hospital bed, a wheelchair, and a bedside commode. They had to change their music room into Rob’s bedroom. He is confined to the wheelchair for at least 3 months. Insurance has provided the necessary equipment, although they discover more things that are needed in order to make things comfortable for Rob. These items include a bed topper, window coverings, wheelchair cushions, inflatable shampoo bowl to wash his hair… and the list goes on each day. As stated above, he is going to be laid up for at least three months and with the high deductible insurance along with every day living expenses, they are in need of help. Rob will be able to work from home in a limited capacity but he does not know what his salary will be. To add to the financial stress, it is Christmas, their anniversary at the end of December, and both boys have birthdays within the next two months. Please consider helping in any amount. I am also asking for you to please share this with everyone you may know to get the word out.
God Bless You for your thoughtfulness in advance.
