Help for the Colbert Family

On July the 3rd, my brother was in a serious accident and had all ribs broken but one, and sustained compound fractures to his leg, plus other injuries. He is currently hospitalized and uninsured. My mother is on a fixed income and is recovering from ileostomy reversal surgery herself, and he was helping her recover. I am living in another state and working part time. My husband is also out of work due to a shoulder injury and is trying to find employment. I will be traveling to Texas to help take care of them. Had only one of these things happened, we might have been able to get through it without asking for help, but as it stands, our family is in a bad, bad place. We will need substantial support to help Matt, whose recovery is expected to take 3-6 months if all goes well, and he will need at least one more surgery, maybe two. We need money for medications and doctor appointments when he leaves the hospital, and for equipment that may not be provided, such as a lift chair, raised toilet seat, a wheelchair, a pull bar for over the bed when he gets home, etc. My husband and I also need some support so that I can continue helping as needed and make further trips between Colorado and  Texas as necessary. Any help you can provide, as soon as possible, is very much appreciated for our family.
