Help the Coughlin Family Recover

On Saturday, June 15th 2024, Micayla and Eric Coughlin from Rochester Hills, took their two daughters ages 2 and 7 months to the Brooklands Plaza Splash Pad near their home to enjoy a day with beautiful weather.
Shortly after grabbing ice cream they walked to the splash pad and were not even there for a minute when Micayla and Eric heard gunfire. In an effort to save the their children, they each grabbed a child to protect them.
In total, Micayla and Eric sustained 7 gunshot wounds. They are hospitalized and undergoing necessary treatment. Because of their heroic actions, their children were protected and able to go home that evening. Micayla and Eric face a long and unknown recovery from this unthinkable tragedy.
This GoFundMe is being set up by myself, Noel Wakula, a close friend of Micayla. The goal of this fundraiser is to help the family with unexpected medical bills and to be assisted with the financial burden from being off from their jobs while raising two beautiful young children.
