help for the Cowan family

On July 1st everything changed in my life. This time it was an accident with horrible consequences.

Nick was outside on the porch and fell off. He couldn't feel his arms or legs. He's been in U.T. medical center where he first stayed in surgery ICU. They've done surgery on his neck, but he is still paralyzed from his shoulders to his waist.

In surgery they repaired 2 slipped discs, and a torn ligament. He has bruising on his spine that could potentially take 8 weeks to heal.

He had to call into work and explain he was in the hospital and they fired him in a way that he may not qualify for any compensation. He is the sole provider for our 4 children that are aged 16, 6, and 3 year old twins. This is a huge financial blow. We're afraid we're gonna lose our home, our van and wondering how we're going to make ends meet for our family.

With school starting soon we don't even have the means to buy them new shoes, clothing, backpacks or school supplies.

Any amount would help. Even if you can only afford to donate a dollar, it adds up. We appreciate any help you are able to give. Share it with your friends and family and encourage them to share it.
