Help for The Ensor Family

Hi everyone. We were trying to avoid reaching out for help but as newlyweds and parents to a new baby, I feel the time has come to ask the community for assistance in our time of need.

On June 13th, 2023, my husband Josh was injured while lifting a machine at work. He was sent home to try and rest and recover but he could not get relief and could hardly move. We did not know the severity of his injury until a few days later when he started to lose all feeling in his left leg and could not walk or stand. I had to call an ambulance to bring him to the hospital on 6/20/23 where they did an MRI and found that he had a severe disc herniation in his lower spine (L5/S1) which was causing so much inflammation that it was laying on his nerve roots. He was sent home with steroids and pain meds and told to wait it out until workers comp took over. After over a week of waiting for a case worker to be assigned to us through worker's comp, we finally received a call 06/27/23 telling us they were working on things. We did not receive any payments until 07/03/23 and it was only for 60% of his check. He will continue to receive these payments throughout the time of his injury but they are biweekly and barely enough to keep the bills paid. Which we are extremely grateful for. However, we're barely getting by. We were just married in May of this year and we have a newborn and toddler. Our daughter is only 3 months old and we have a 3yo son. We are trying to keep afloat and applying for other assistance, but the process for everything has been a long one. Tomorrow Josh will receive his first round of spinal injections to see if they help with the inflammation and make him more mobile. He is also to attend physical therapy 3x a week for the next 4-8 weeks. He had his first therapy session today and we're hoping that as he continues to go, it will help strengthen some of this muscles and possibly help correct the herniation. If this does not relieve any of the pain, he will be scheduled for surgery which can cause other complications. We appreciate all our friends and family continuously checking in and being supportive.
