Help for the Hough Family

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Roxy and I have set up this fundraiser for our dear friends, The Hough Family; Morgan, Amy, Oliver and Deegan.

On Sunday March 10th Oliver was urgently air lifted from Kelowna to BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver. His official diagnosis is B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Oliver is to remain at BCCH for the first month of his intensive chemotherapy treatment for 24/7 supervision and care. Oliver's underlying Down Syndrome diagnosis puts him at high risk for other complications. Currently his kidneys aren't functioning well, his oxygen levels are desaturated, he's had excess fluid in his lungs, and is also fighting a bacterial infection in his blood, and Tumor Lysis Syndrome.
Once Oliver can safely be released from BCCH, he will stay at the Ronald McDonald House in Vancouver for the duration of his 8 month (ish) treatment. Total length of time estimated for Oliver's treatment is 2.5 years.

Oliver is an incredible young man. Like all 15 year old's, he enjoys socializing and spending time with his friends. Oliver is part of the Special Olympics Kelowna softball team and he and his family have been active with Motion Ball Kelowna for the past 10 years. Their fundraising efforts and community inclusion/spirit are commendable.

Oliver enjoys living the Okanagan lifestyle...swimming, paddle boarding, fishing and camping. He enjoys attending the Kelowna Rockets games and is a HUGE Vancouver Canucks fan. He loves music and playing on his drum set to his favorite bands like Twenty One Pilots.
He loves art and launched a micro business last year @olliesartcards on Instagram.

There is nothing Oliver loves more than spending time with his friends and his family. Our hope is to help ease some of the financial strain that this time away from home is going to have on the family, so they can focus on Oliver and being together. No parents should have to worry about work when they need to be at their child's side. Funds raised can help with loss of wages, food costs, gas for travel back and forth, and all the other daily costs that will incur.

On behalf of the Hough family, I would like to thank everyone in advance for their donations, big or small. It will all help the cause of supporting Oliver in this time of need so his loved ones can surround him.
If you are unable to donate at this time, we welcome any messages you have of love, support and encouragement for Oliver to kick Cancer's butt!
