Help for the Hussein Family

Ramadan Hussein sadly passed away on March 9th leaving behind his wonderful, loving wife and three small children. So many of us have had the pleasure to meet these beautiful and brilliant people who have worked tirelessly to better themselves, better the field of archaeology, better the lives of their children, and ultimately better the world with their contributions.
Ramadan left this world too soon after a brief and unfair battle with mesothelioma. He developed this condition due to exposure to asbestos as a child. The exposure was a result of government deregulation and purposeful neglect on the behalf of the government, who allowed countless individuals to be poisoned by a nearby factory.
Ramadan worked his way up through life, despite the obstacles thrown in his way. He grew up in a very poor neighborhood in Cairo and was raised by his loving, but illiterate parents. Nevertheless, he received his PhD from Brown in Egyptology. As Director of the Documentation Center of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, he contributed to some of the greatest discoveries and research in the field.
Personally, Ramadan was more than just a brilliant mind. He was also a loving father and husband. Just after the birth of his twins, Ben and Martha, civil war broke out in Egypt and he and his family were forced to leave their home in Egypt, back to the US.
Ramadan never gave up, and eventually procured a position as visiting researcher in Tubingen on his way to a full time position. A full career in Egyptology in Cairo, and elsewhere, Ramadan was continuing his research and work in Germany.
****Angela, Joey, Ben, and Martha need our help. The family will stay in Germany for the moment as it is the safest place for the children. Joey and Martha are special needs and both need daily medication, and Germany has provided them with universal health care. Unfortunately, though, taking care of the children is a full time job for Angela, who will now need some help to supplement their income. Specifically, she will need to get her German driver's license to get the kids to and from places. The license is 2700 euro (approximately 3000 US dollars)****
