Help for the Mincey family

I am creating this GoFundMe with permission from Kim Mincey, wife of John Mincey.
As many of you may know, John Mincey was diagnosed with Covid-19 in August of 2021. He spent about 6 weeks in ICU in the hospital. Since being discharged, he’s had ongoing problems caused by Covid. He’s been on constant oxygen and in and out of doctors offices trying to figure out why he’s not gotten any better. Because of this, Kim has had to miss a lot of work to help take care of him. She is the only income in their household. In January, the Mincey’s were evicted from their home and haven’t had any luck finding another place to live.
On Saturday February 12, 2022, 911 was called to John because he was having serious trouble breathing and there was a lot of tightness in his chest. They found out he had gotten some kind of bacteria on two of his heart valves and they were not working and that he has diabetes and his sugar was extremely high. Early Sunday morning, John had to go under anesthesia to have open heart surgery. There was a lot of congestion around his heart. He had one valve replacement, one repaired and had to bypass an artery.
He is finally starting to feel better and recovering at a good rate. However, with all of his health problems and recovery time, we don’t know how long he will have to stay in ICU. And Kim is having to choose between going to work or going to see him because of visiting hours. I am asking for help for them to get them through this time and to cover the extensive costs they’re about to face with medical expenses and ongoing recovery.
