Help for the Shinyamas
Donation protected
On June 12, the Shinyama family experienced a devastating event. Nancy Shinyama was healthy as she entered an important surgery to remove a benign brain tumor which was located on her spinal cord. As a result of the surgery, she now has paralysis to the right side of her body. After spending the past 6 weeks in the ICU and rehab unit, Nancy is now wheelchair-bound. As she is transferred to another rehab facility, Nancy and her husband Daryl are experiencing an overwhelming amount of financial costs.
The Shinyamas are especially kind and generous and have dedicated their lives to serving others. Nancy has been an RN at Garfield Medical Center for over 30 years as well as volunteering at Highlands Elementary School and Mark Keppel High School. She also dedicated many hours to caring for her mother. Daryl works for the LA Sheriff’s Dept. and has been active in his children’s numerous sports teams. Their children, Brandon and Shannon, are in high school.
Please help us raise funds to purchase a special van for transportation, as well as to help pay for their medical bills. Nancy’s recovery will likely be lengthy and difficult, and medical bills are surmounting. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated.
Foremost, please keep Nancy and Daryl in your prayers.
