Help for the Sikes family ❤
Donation protected
We are humbly asking for donations to help the grieving Sikes family with various upcoming financial needs. Alicia “Allie” Sikes, 39 years old, passed away from COVID complications on January 3, 2022. She leaves behind her loving husband of nearly 8 years, Stephen, and her beautiful daughters Shannon (5) and Lydia (2).
Stephen has been left with a huge void to fill, in his life and the lives of his daughters. Little Shannon is a Type-1 diabetic, which requires a great deal of monitoring and care. Stephen has lost his helpmate in managing her disease, and with the overall keeping and care of his 2 precious and energetic little girls. Alicia’s full-time job as a pharmacy tech helped to financially contribute to the household needs, as well as medical insurance for the family.
The donations received will go directly to Stephen, for the care and needs of his family. Some anticipated expenses include: Alicia’s medical bills, ongoing medical care/supplies for the girls, and general financial help with day-to-day expenses, as he transitions unexpectedly to a 1-income household.
Alicia was such a light to all who knew her. She loved her husband and daughters with her whole heart, only second to her love for the Lord. Oh, how she loved to sing hymns and praises! She sang to the Lord from her soul, often bringing her to tears, from the depth of her emotions. Anyone who knew her, knew how much her family meant to her…she was a caring and devoted daughter and sister, and she cherished being an aunt. She put her whole self into her relationships, really investing her heart and time into the ones she loved. Alicia was a fiercely loyal friend and so tenderhearted. She holds such a special place in the hearts of the young people that worshipped with her, as she always purposefully sought them out to talk to them and encourage them…she was always interested in hearing about what was happening in their lives. Alicia took every opportunity to spend time with her church family. She was generally the last to leave the parking lot after every service, and you could count on her to attend every social gathering possible. She was sweet and compassionate, creative and quirky…always ambitiously full of ideas. She was continually on the hunt for new projects on Pinterest, and someone to join her in her crafting/sewing endeavors. Alicia treasured her Precious Moments collection, and loved trying out new recipes. Her laugh was infectious, she felt deeply and was always striving to be a better wife, mother and child of God.
Alicia will be greatly missed by all that loved her, but we find comfort and peace in her steadfastness and faithfulness to the Lord, and in the hope that relationship brings in death.
Your kind support will be a huge blessing for Stephen, Shannon and Lydia as they navigate the uncertainties of the coming weeks and months.
