------------------------------

Hi, my name is Sara Heath, and I'm raising funds on behalf of the Tomlinson family. Angela and Daisy are a part of Wilmington's homeschool community, where they participate in Classical Conversations and a local dance studio, and Shawn is right there with them through it all. I have known the Tomlinson family for almost 8 years and our daughters have been friends since before kindergarten. They are a part of my church family and they are some of the most genuine, faithful people I've ever known. Whatever comes their way (and there has been a lot that has come their way in the time I've known them), they always say, "God's got it."

Before going further, all donations will be directly deposited into Shawn and Angela’s personal account.

At the beginning of December 2022, Shawn went into the hospital for a blood clot in his leg. It was discovered that the clot had also traveled to his lungs. The clot in his leg was operated on and he was given medicine to help clear the clots in his lungs. After some time in the hospital, he finally returned home to his wife, who was and is currently still recovering from a knee replacement, and his daughter. On Christmas Day, Shawn began having trouble breathing, among other medical issues. He went back to the hospital to undergo various tests, one of which was a biopsy of a mass on his pancreas that showed up on the CT scan when examining his lungs.

On January 6, 2023, Shawn received the results of the tests: stage 4 pancreatic cancer that has spread to his fluids, causing him to have trouble breathing and giving him issues with digesting food.

Shawn has already begun a mild chemo treatment that will hopefully help with symptoms and that may be able to extend his life longer than the few weeks that doctors told him he has otherwise. Once his breathing is better and he can retain some food, he will return home, where he will continue to receive chemo through hospice's palliative care.

This devastating prognosis is made even more burdensome because, at this time, Shawn is in between jobs. Being a single-income family who homeschools their beautiful twelve-year-old daughter, this sweet family needs great help to relieve the financial burden of the mounting medical bills and living expenses.

Will you please consider donating to this precious family as a way to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the Tomlinson family?

(If you would prefer to give directly to the Tomlinsons you may do so by sending money to Angela via Venmo. Her Venmo is @Angela-Tomlinson-10 and there is a picture of Shawn and Daisy to let you know you have the right person.)
