Help for the Tran Family Against Hate Crime

On July 18, 2020, Stephen's family restaurant was approached by a patron. When simply following California's governor guidelines and asking their customer to wait in their vehicle for their order, the customer refused and grew hostile. The patron continued to hurl hate speech at Stephen and his family such as "'f**k you and your chinky ass policy,' 'go back to China you covid ass,' 'chink,' etc.  Stephen decided that this was unacceptable and asked the hostile individual to leave so he could process his refund. The events further escalated when the patron assaulted Stephen's family with a fountain cup which he drank out of. At this point, In an era of COVID-19, this individual's action is beyond an insult in the name of the pandemic, but also a disregard for human life, as he may be a carrier and decided to endanger the health of everyone in the restaurant with his bodily fluids. Stephen had decided to take action and defend his family, and family business. We are in hopes to raise funds in order for Stephen and his family business to obtain legal assistance for protections as well as helping his family restaurant.
