Help for Tracey and AJ

Donation protected
Tracey lost her fiancé Andre Mackniel at the mass shooting in Buffalo, NY on Saturday, May 14th.

Andre went to Tops grocery store to purchase a birthday cake for their son AJ. It was AJ’s 3rd birthday on the same day his father was murdered.

Now Tracey is left a single parent. She is paralyzed with the reality that her partner is gone. Paralyzed with the fear of what the future holds. Their son AJ is left to grow up without his father. He is left to associate every birthday for the remainder of his life with the murder of his father. All of this…tragically and senselessly due to the cowardice and hatred of another.

They traveled to Buffalo to enjoy AJ’s 3rd birthday while surrounded by the love of family and friends there, planning to return to their home in Auburn, NY on Sunday. Tracey had to wait for the Buffalo Police Department to release her vehicle to her. The same vehicle Andre parked outside of Tops while he went inside for his son’s birthday cake.

Now she will have to drive home to Auburn without her partner and soulmate. There will likely be much uncomfortable silence on the drive, especially as AJ continues to ask why his daddy isn’t going home with them.

Andre was dedicated to lovingly care for his son full time at home while Tracey worked to support her family. Now she is left with no means to pay for regular full time child care. She and her sweet son are left with so many uncertainties for the future. A mortgage, rising costs of food and gasoline, and every other expense that is at risk of being unpaid as they grieve so deeply. We hope to raise funds for Tracey and her young son to assist her as she endures this horrible loss.

To the community of Buffalo…we shed tears and hold you all in our hearts after the devastating and senseless loss of 10 lives and those injured on Saturday, May 14th. We lift you in prayer and continue to hold space for you. This is hard.

Please help Tracey and AJ if you can. No amount is too little. It all comes from the heart.

We must come together as a community, and we must put an end to racism…but it begins with each of us.
