Help for Travis Sack -- Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
This is Travis and his wife Danielle and their 6-year-old son, Atlas. Travis is a hard worker, dedicated husband and loving father.
About 8 years ago, at just 19, Travis was diagnosed with stage 4 head and throat cancer. This was a long, hard battle for Travis with lots of Radiation & Chemotherapy. We are truly blessed that the doctors at Mitchell Cancer Center in Mobile, Alabama were able to treat his cancer and give Travis a second chance. Since then, Travis has been working full-time as an EMT and attending the University of South Alabama in Mobile to become a Paramedic. This month he finished college and just became a Certified Paramedic. He has made it his job to help others and save lives. He is so excited to take this next step in his career that he has worked so hard for.
But, CANCER SUCKS.
Unfortunately, Travis's career and everything else have been put on hold.
Last month, Travis was diagnosed with Cancer, again.
The radiation he went through for the cancer 8 years ago, caused him to lose most of the saliva glands in his mouth. That and the radiation have caused his teeth to deteriorate, which have been irritating his tongue and caused a new cancer. The cancer has quickly has turned into a large sore on his tongue. He can hardly eat or talk due to the large open sore and excruciating pain. Travis has been visiting the Mitchell Cancer Center in Mobile again, but the surgeons there are not qualified to under take such an involved surgery to remove the cancer from his tongue. He has been referred to UAB in Birmingham, Alabama, about 5 hours away. They will be traveling there to receive the surgery and treatment. After the surgery he will need physical therapy to learn how to swallow and talk again.
At this time, they need help. Donations are greatly appreciated and will help with the costs of medical bills and travel necessary for his treatment. If you are unable to help financially, we ask that you keep him and his family in your thoughts & prayers. We want to surround them with lots of positive support, love, prayers, good vibes.... whatever you believe in.
Thank you so much.
