Vicki has been caring for her aging father for 12 years and due to his deteriorating health, had to place him in a home. As part of this situation, she is losing the family home as Medicaid will take it as part of his medical care costs. In addition, the home has mold and she needs to get out of the house asap.
She has had a series of setbacks healthwise which has depleted her savings funds. She works and has been caring for herself and her father for many years without any handouts, but just needs a little helping hand to get out of the house and into an apartment. She is facing homelessness without some help.
