Help for Zoe to get a mobility vehicle
Donation protected
As many of you may be aware, our beautiful three year old granddaughter Zoe has Cerebral Palsy. Cerebral Palsy is a lifelong disability affecting movement and posture. For Zoe this means that she needs the use of a walker to be able to walk and she will be getting her first powered wheelchair in the next couple of months.
NDIS has been a fantastic help to enable Zoe to have all the necessary equipment for her mobility.
What the family and Zoe needs now to be able to transport the wheelchair, is a modified car. NDIS cover all the modifications for the vehicle but the family is up for the cost of an upgraded car for these modifications to happen. The NDIS have requirements for the vehicle and one of those is, it has to be less than 5 years old. Zoe’s family are now looking to get a near new car but as they are a single income family and the prices of cars has risen dramatically since Covid, they are needing funds to be able to purchase.
Their goal is that Zoe will be all set up with her wheelchair in a modified car by the time she starts preschool in 2024, so that she can begin school with independence.
We are very grateful for any contribution no matter how big or small.
Many thanks,
