Help for Zorchenko family in time of tragedy

Our dear brother, Alex Zorchenko is a unique individual: he is happy, loving, friendly, attentive, and always cares for the needs of others. A person with a very difficult childhood but now blessed with a very beautiful and blessed family. 

 The news from  Sunday afternoon shook up our whole community. On Sunday, August 2nd, around noon, Alex and his wife, Nina, got into a small fender-bender near their home in Federal Way. Nina left to go home to prepare for the Sunday service while Alex stayed at the scene of the accident in order to get a police report. He stood on the shoulder of the road behind his vehicle awaiting the police officer to finish their report when suddenly a large van coming out of nowhere hit the police officer’s car and then swerved into Alex hitting him and pinned his right leg with the bumper to Alex’s car. From such a powerful hit Alex’s car rotated 45 degrees and Alex was thrown into the blackberry bushes on the side of the road. The van had hit Alex and severely injured his right leg. Alex saw his shattered leg and an open artery with blood gushing out. He was completely conscious and aware that he was dying. (With a ripped artery a person can die within 15-40 seconds from loss of blood.) Alex remembers, that at that moment he prayed: “God if my time has come, I am ready to come home.” And then he began to pray for his kids and family.
In the meantime, Alex remembers, the police officer squeezing his hand and screaming: “Stay with me brother! You are a strong guy! Squeeze my hands!” Alex was praying and squeezing his finger. It took two police officers to apply a tourniquet in order to stop the blood flow until the ambulance arrived. These officers ended up saving his life and we are forever grateful to those officers. Alex was rushed to Harborview Hospital on an ambulance in an attempt to save his life. That afternoon and evening at Harborview Hospital, the doctors were fighting to save his life. Family, friends, and many others around the world prayed continuously for a miracle from God. Alex was in critical condition from losing a lot of blood and the doctors were worried about damage to other vital organs from such a big impact from the car. Thankfully the skilled medical team was able to save his life but unfortunately due to the severity of the injury, he lost his right leg. We praise God that Alex is alive! God heard the prayers of his children all around the world!

On Monday, as Alex came out of anesthesia, Nina told him that he was in the hospital and that he had surgery on his right leg. 

·       Alex quietly whispered: “I do not feel my right leg.”

·       Nina answered: “Alex, you will not feel it anymore.”

·       Alex quietly asked: “Never?”

·       Nina replied: “Never, but you are alive! You are with us! We are very thankful that you are alive.

We are all very thankful to know that Alex is alive with us today. God answered our prayers and performed a powerful miracle and we are a testimony to this miracle. It is by God’s grace and power that Alex is alive today.

 At this time, Alex is still at Harborview Hospital and already had multiple surgeries and there is more ahead. We know that the road to recovery will be long and hard, however, we believe that God is with us at every step in our journey forward.

 Dear friends, we ask you to pray with us for Alex and his overall health. Alex is under tremendous pain. Please pray with faith that God will remove his suffering and helps him overcome this hardship and restores him to a happy and blessed life that only God can provide.

Alex and his family will have to adapt to a completely new way of life. He was the sole provider for his family and will not be able to go back to work for a long period of time. This tragedy will be a big financial burden for the family. Please keep Alex and his family in your prayers and please contribute financially to help Alex in this time of tragedy.




Лёша Зорченеко — наш брат, человек необыкновенный: весёлый, внимательный, миролюбивый и всегда заботящийся о других!  Человек с очень сложным детством, а сейчас счастливый в своей семье.
Особенный человек! 
События последних дней, буквально потрясли наше общество: в воскресенье Лёша и Нина попали в небольшую аварию недалеко от их дома. Нина отправилась домой, чтобы приготовиться к сужению, а Лёша остался, чтобы получить полицейский репорт.
Он стоял на обочине, позади своей Акуры, как вдруг, большой вэн , протаранив полицейскую машину, ударил Лёшу и, прижал его правую ногу бампером к Лешиной Акуре. От сильного удара Акура развернулась на 45 градусов и вытолкнула Лёшу в кусты. Лёша видел свою раздробленную ногу, видел как из открытой артерии бьёт кровь. Он чётко осознавал, что умирает.(при разрыве артерии, человек умирает в  течении 15 -40 секунд от потери крови).Лёша  помнит, что в тот момент он сказал: «Господи, если пришло моё время, я иду к Тебе».И стал молиться за детей и нас всех. Офицер полиции держал его за руки и кричал: “Stay with me, brother!!! You are strong guy!!! Squeeze my hands!!!” Лёша молился и сжимал его пальцы....... Полицейский, наложил жгуты, остановил кровотечение и так, не давая случиться худшему, они дождались машину скорой помощи, и Лёшу отвезли Harborview. В госпитале доктора боролись за его жизнь, ведь большая потеря крови могла вызвать очень серьезные осложнения. Но слава Богу! Через время тесты показали хорошие результаты, и врачи занялись спасением ноги. К сожалению,  ногу спасти не удалось. Но Лёша жив!!! Бог услышал молитвы своих детей по всему миру! Слава Ему!!!
Полностью из наркоза Лёша вышел только через день. Нина говорила ему, что он в госпитале, что что он будет жить, что он перенёс операцию на ноге.
Он тихо сказал:
—«Я не чувствую правую ногу»
— «Лёша , ты теперь не будешь её чувствовать.»
—« Никогда?»
—«Никогда... Но ты ЖИВ! Ты с нами! Мы все очень счастливы!»
МЫ ВСЕ ОЧЕНЬ СЧАСТЛИВЫ!!!
Просим вас, дорогие друзья, пожалуйста, продолжайте молиться за Лёшу и дальше, — Лёша страдает от сильных мучительных болей. Будем молиться с верой, чтобы Господь облегчил его страдания, помог всё перенести и восстановил его здоровье.

Лёше предстоит долгая реабилитация и изготовление протеза. А также семья осталась без главного источника дохода
