Evacuate Abandoned Foreign Domestic Workers In Lebanon
Donation protected
Sadly, we are back at it.
4 years have passed since the Beirut blast when we secured $35K on this same fundraiser which allowed us repatriate Kenyan women and children stranded on the streets after the Beirut blast.
Another crisis falls upon Lebanon. With over 1 million displaced and a weakened government barely able to support its citizens, the Migrant communities are left behind; systematically treated as third class humans.
With war upon us in an already racist and uncertain environment, very little hope is left for the Migrants in our country. They want to go home.
To save them, as per their wishes, we are looking to raise funds up to $135K to repatriate an initial group of Sierra Leonean women & babies.
We have already secured a shelter and are managing to provide relief aid during one of the harshest moments of our country’s history. Given the challenging conditions, we must act fast to secure and facilitate their repatriations.
This is an urgent call for help to cover the funds that will complement our ongoing ground efforts of relief aid, sheltering & general administrative work for immigration clearance.
We are a very small group of volunteers working tirelessly to transform an empty warehouse into a temporary shelter for 100 Sierra Leonean women & babies. Help us send them home to safety.
NB: we are NOT an official organization, although we are collaborating with many of them, but we are a small group of concerned citizens who turned into a grassroot collective, simply working hard to alleviate some of the misery we are seeing around us every day.
Thank you for your support, it’s truly life-changing for so many.
