Help Four Flags Antiques Create Holiday Magic

Four Flags Antiques is a small town business located in Niles, MI that strives to bring back the nostalgia of an old time Christmas to all! Last year was our first time doing this and we had visitors from all over the country come and see us! We are located in an old early 1920’s Montgomery Wards Department Store. We use as many original store window display pieces as we can in each window. We had 4 windows done last year and this year opened a 5th and final window! The pieces we currently use date back as early as the 1950's and because of their age, a lot of them were in nonworking condition or actually came to us broken into pieces. Most of these needed to be completely restored to working condition before they could be used. When we say we use true to time pieces to create as much nostalgia as possible, we mean it! Unfortunately true to time pieces are very expensive! One animatronic can cost $200 - $2000 depending on what it is and we try to use the most nostalgic pieces we can get. Most of them have to be shipped from all over the country or need to be traveled to and picked up. You cannot order these pieces online out of a catalog.

We also feel that local area history is an important aspect of this display as possible. We worked hard and acquired local Niles Municipal Christmas Pole Light Decorations last year. This year we have acquired another fantastic piece of local history that will not be revealed until our big event, but we can promise you it won't be a disappointment!

Last year we invested well over $15,000 of our small businesses money to do this for you all! We’re already planning and acquiring items for this year's windows. While we can reuse some items yearly we do a lot of buying and trading to bring you all lots of new things as well! We host an annual open house event with huge sales across our entire store, lots of photo opportunities, and we have a special weekend visit from the one and only Santa Claus! This year we’re planning food vendors and more to make this bigger than last! We put hundreds and hundreds of hours every year into repairing items, building props from scratch, and searching for the best pieces to purchase at the right price!

This event is costly but worth every penny to see the looks on all of your faces coming to enjoy the nostalgia. Our windows are typically on display from mid November through February 1st. Please consider donating $10, $25, $50, $100, or more if you'd like to help our cause. A donation amount of $100 or more will get your name or business listed on this year's video as a sponsor along with being listed in-store as a sponsor for this year's window display.
