Help Frank's Orphans Secure a Safe Home

FRANK CREATES HOME FOR ORPHANED CHILDREN

I am a Franciscan brother who has been blessed to come to know Frank Sebaddukah, an amazing 22-year-old, and the nine children he protects and cares for as their older brother. They are ALL orphans. Four of them are Frank's younger siblings, and the five others lost their parents as well. Frank has been keeping them all together as a family, sleeping in a shack on the plot of land of a family friend. That man is now selling his land, and Frank's Orphans are close to being dangerously homeless and penniless. They are located in the Bulera Subcountry, Mityana District of Uganda, about 41 miles west of Kampala the capital city.

When I reached out to them, they hadn't eaten for three days. For the past three months, I have helping them with $200 a month, $45/week to buy food. We have located a property for sale where they can start a new life. I have engaged the Church Diocese in that area to validate the property and its paperwork. They need a safe place to live and to grow food. Frank is a skilled barber, and the children can begin to have their health and education needs addressed once they are safe.

The house is located on .99 acre of land. It has water and electricity. This is an extraordinary opportunity, because the seller is willing to sell to us. I will establish a non-profit to own the property and Frank, and his orphaned children can live there in perpetuity. Frank will be on the Board of Directors. He will have the help to continue to obtain the resources they need.

The seller requires at least $5,000 U.S. dollars to agree to sell to us. Otherwise, he will offer the property to other interested persons next week. It's an ideal property for them and the cost is $10,000. The other $4,000 is for a year of food, medicine, electricity, and supplies for the house and for gardening. Please help us raise the funds these children so desperately need to start their young lives in a safe home with electricity and running water.
