Help Fred & Micky's dream come true post cancer

Always be positive ! Always something to take from a bad experience ! For some of you who don’t know me, my name is Frederic Vidal and I'm raising money so that my partner, Mihaela aka Micky, and I could accomplish one of our dear dreams. I fought and -so far- won a battle against lymphoma cancer in 2018 and 2019. I'm also going through repairing my body after a terrible bicycle accident in 2022 (two surgeries done, one to go).
All of this made Micky and I realised how life is so fragile and precious. Nothing is stopping us going after our dreams apart the fear of failing. This time, it's about running Tokyo marathon. Yes, the whole 42.2 kms -or 26.2 miles :-) I was registered to run it on 3rd of March 2019 but I had to start chemotherapy on 21st of February. The doctor, a keen runner himself, told me the risks were too big as I was at stage 3 advanced.
Micky, my partner of more than 20 years and an incredible support in good and bad times, decided to make my dream a common one. It took us 5 years to take the plunge. It’s completely unrealistic to have two people going through the Tokyo marathon ballot. We thus went for a Japanese charity (https://www.marathon.tokyo/en/charity/) and one very close to our hearts as it helps people through sport ("Tokyo Marathon Sports Legacy Program 1" - https://www.runwithheart.jp/news/list/19/20/?tag=#goals_tm2024_en). To get a place this year, there was a bidding process. We did and are ecstatic to have been selected at a bid of YEN 163,000/pers.
We would be extremely grateful if you could help us raising this amount already spent so that we could have finances to finally book the rest of the journey and accomplish our dream. :-)
Many thanks,
Fred & Micky
