HELP FREE BACFROMDEAD

As many of you know Mod (@bacfromdead) is currently being held in Cobb County Jail. He is wrongfully being held with NO BOND due to a mistake the court house made. We are raising funds to cover the fees of the private lawyer who will help with getting Mod a bond. We are also raising funds for his bond fees once he’s granted one.

On Wednesday (8/16/23) Mod (BacFromDead) was picked up charges from two years ago, and held without bond. The manner in which he was arrested and what followed the next couple of days is concerning to the point of police abuse of power and highlights police brutality.

Here’s what has happened since:

8/18/23: I was able to get the name and number of a good lawyer that works with budgets over the weekend.

8/21/23: On Monday, I went with a family friend to the lawyer’s office and paid the initial fee to begin working on Mods’s case. The lawyer pulled the warrant, and other evidential paperwork to review over the next day. His initial thoughts were that he could get the case reduced to a misdemeanor with the potential for probation. The lawyer also reached out to the prosecutor to inquire about the details from their perspective.

8/23/23: On Wednesday, the lawyer visited with Mod regarding the case as a whole and obtained further first hand information.

8/24/23: Thursday morning, the lawyer happened to run into the prosecutor as he was leaving court. The two conversed and the lawyer updated us that his new *hope* is the case would be dismissed but noted this is a process.
