Help Cassidy fuel his kart racing dream!

Hi Everyone,

I'm Cassidy-James, a 14-year-old British racing enthusiast, currently competing in the Daniel Ricciardo Series (DRS) karting championship. Racing has been my passion since I first strapped on a helmet at the age of 6, progressing through arrive and drive, indoor championships on to outdoor racing and eventually to owning my own kart. Through hard work and determination I continue to improve my skills and experience which is showing every time I go out on track.

Who am I?

I'm a focused young athlete with a dream, not just another racer. I consistently give my best and aim to represent my country in the world of motorsport despite the challenges I know I will face on my journey.

My family have been really supportive of my racing with training, maintenance, logistics and obviously financing! All motorsport is expensive, with karting being no different. To be the best you have to maintain your equipment and yourself to the highest standards, investing countless hours into honing your skills. To put this much effort takes a lot of dedication from myself and my family – which I have, but unfortunately it also takes money, and a lot of it.

To continue to develop my potential, I really need additional support so I can practice more and compete at a higher level in 2024, which is why I’m reaching out to you now.

Everything raised will go towards my racing. As a direct result of your donation I’ll have the opportunity to practice and race more furthering my journey in karting and eventually onwards into cars.

How can you help?

Any donation would be greatly appreciated and will contribute to keeping me on track. As you can see below, the cost of practising and competing is very high:

• Spark plugs: £14 each around 15 per season

• Sprockets (gear wheels): £25 one for each track

• Fuel and oil: around £45 per race day

• Practice session: £60 per day

• Set of tyres: around £180 we typically get through 15 sets per season

• Race entry: £250 per race (there are 8 races in the season)

• Kit and protection gear: Can be up to £600 for a helmet

• Engine rebuilds: average £400 every 10 hours of driving

• And the list goes on!!

This sport means so much to me and I am driven to succeed but can only take my ambition so far without your help.
