Carrie was diagnosed with a CSF (Cerebrospinal Fluid) Leak, a condition that causes fluid to leak from around her brain; spinal fluid sac. Unfortunately, her symptoms were initially overlooked, leaving her desperate for proper medical attention for more than 1/3 of a year.

Despite the setbacks, Carrie's determination led her to push for answers. Recently, we underwent a trip to Morgantown, WV, where she found a compassionate surgeon willing to address her condition. Finally, scheduled for a life-changing procedure on March 6th, 2024, Carrie looks forward to renewed hope and health. Not only is the surgery essential for obvious reasons, but she is also at significant risk of Meningitis the longer this goes on.
