Our world as we know it has become incredibly vulnerable. We are older, sicker, and more and more people are living alone. There has also been a dramatic rise in mental health conditions, drug use and family and domestic violence incidents. These circumstances are creating significant health care challenges, and concern among loving family and friends. As a critical care nurse, with over 10 years’ experience in the healthcare industry, I have seen firsthand the challenges faced by those who are vulnerable and lack access to support networks. This is why I developed the KeepSafe-app, to provide a simple, affordable solution that empowers people to live safely and independently, while offering peace of mind to their families and loved ones. I firmly believe KeepSafe-app can help over a billion people live safer, more empowered lives.

Despite my best efforts and the potential impact of this project, I have been unsuccessful in securing grant funding to date, though I continue to actively pursue these opportunities. So far, I've self-funded $25,000 for research, app design, prototype development, and validation surveys. I now need to raise $180,000 to develop this vital tool, making it affordable and accessible to every vulnerable person that needs a reliable way to stay connected and secure.
