Help fund a new Espresso Machine For Village Bean

Donation protected

On Tuesday, May 12th at 7:38am... I received the most heartbreaking text message “Ever” from my morning Barista.
”Hi! Where Is the switch to turn on the Espresso machine?” SHOCKING  question to ask of an Espresso machine that has worked faithfully for the past 14 years!!!  I instantly called the Village Bean &  I spoke to my Barista and suggested various solutions to turn it on.

But, the fact is the Espresso machine is NEVER shut off… It is always on! As an owner,  I’m feeling very stressed, we are now getting  ready to open the store for our customers to  offer their favorite drinks... One of which is our espresso, mochas, lattes and chai lattes.  During this pandemic we have remained open ...on limited staff ... 85% less customers & sales revenues! Now this!
Our Espresso machine just had its routine service a week ago and everything was fine!
How did it go from working like a Dream Monday to Dead as a Door Nail on Tuesday morning!!!
Our Espresso  technician confirmed the machine had  3 major parts to repair with costs of  $1,100!
Clearly,  it makes no sense to fix a machine that is 14 years old with new parts ...that could result in further  parts breaking down & the  big unknown if anything else can break down relatively quickly!
I decided to order a new Apia II Compact Espresso machine by Simonelli!

After, long negotiations ...the cost of the machine
will be $5,045 (include shipping and installation)

I am asking the greater community and friends for assisting me in funding half the amount ($2,500)
and I will finance the other half.

I ask humbly for your donations at this time… Had
this not been a  COVID-19 ~ Pandemic, had this
not been a time of  poor sales, and of a great decrease in the number of customer visiting the Village Bean & an uncertain future of when life & sales &
customers will be back at the Village Bean again at on a regular daily basis!
… I would never have asked  the community and friends for your assistance-if times were Good & we were not in a Pandemic!  But we now live in unprecedented times… And the uncertainties of tomorrow…are just that... uncertain!

But, one thing is for CERTAIN... The Village Bean      has been serving Windham  & the greater community now for 32 years!  I am the 4th owner of the
Village Bean and a previous customer for 25 years! I continue to keep the Village Bean...as the  hub &
heartbeat of the town... The center where all gather  to meet friends of old and new and to share the news, joy and events of the day!!
I know my customers “miss” their shot of espresso and all the other fabulous espresso related drinks… I am hoping that you will all assist me in anyway you can  with my campaign!

I will kindly THANK those customers who donate $25 and up with an in-kind  Village Bean gift certificate at a 20% value.
For example: if a customer donated $25 they will receive a $5  gift certificate for the Village Bean.
All donations will be kindly accepted... even $5 will add up to meet our GOAL!

Thank  you from the bottom of my heart for your assistance in my Go Fund Me campaign

With gratitude and thanks,
Lucy
